This week, I'm finishing up and editing the sample chapter of my book proposal. One of the chapters is about HIV in Porn Valley, and I've struggled with its title. At one point, it was "They Shoot Porn Stars, Don't They?" I like that title very much, but the title of the chapter before it is in the form of a question and not one I want to change. After that, the title became "Patient Zero," which isn't very compelling or creative. Now, it's "Ace of Spades." Apparently, "ace of spades" is slang for AIDS: "You've been dealt the Ace of Spades." In war, the ace of spades is the death card. If you have an idea for the title of this chapter, let me know.
