Coolhunting reports photographer Phillip Toledano has a new book coming out from Twin Palms: Phonesex. For the project, Toledano shot thirty phone sex operators to reveal the real people behind the voices.
"Phone-sex is theater," Toledano writes. "An artificial passion-play in real-time, directed by a skilled verbal fantasist, with only one possible conclusion."
Each photo is accompanied by the phone sex operator's words, giving a peek inside what it's like to talk dirty for a living. The woman pictured here offers: "I'm Scheherezade. If I don't tell stories that fascinate the Pasha, he will kill me in the morning."
